Leadership and Technical Expertise

  • We are seeking a highly skilled individual to lead our automotive and industrial team.

In this role, you will be responsible for growing, leading, and managing a team of dedicated engineers to adapt our products to automotive and industrial specific requirements. You will also represent us in the industrial and automotive community and standards consortia.

To succeed in this position, you will need to ensure our products and ways of working support standards addressing processes, cyber-security, and safety concerns. You will also be responsible for enhancing delivery quality, security, and developer experience, leading and positively influencing culture and working with your team on strategy and execution.

You will work closely with your team to develop and implement strategies that drive growth and innovation. As a leader, you will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing software developers to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Grow, lead, and manage a team of dedicated engineers.
  • Represent Canonical in the industrial and automotive community and standards consortia.
  • Ensure products and ways of working support standards addressing processes, cyber-security, and safety concerns.
  • Enhance delivery quality, security, and developer experience.
Requirements:
  • Strong software engineering, Linux, and open source background.
  • Knowledge of automotive and industry standards such as ISO21434, ISO26262, SOTIF, IEC 65108.
  • In-depth knowledge in Linux packages and embedded development.
  • Experience in C/C++ and Python programming.
  • Practical experience in automotive, including functional safety, embedded systems, cloud, and related software trends.
  • Experience leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring software developers.
