About This Role

The Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria is seeking a skilled Contact Centre Officer to join the Victims of Crime Financial Assistance Scheme team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls, providing expert advice on victim financial entitlements, and delivering exceptional customer service to victims and service providers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide timely and accurate information to victims and service providers regarding financial assistance and other support services.
  2. Act as the first point of contact for FAS enquiries, responding to calls and written enquiries in a professional and sensitive manner.
  3. Convey complex information clearly and accurately, responding to victims, service providers, and team members in a culturally safe and trauma-informed way.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  1. Experience working in a call centre environment, with a strong focus on customer service and communication.
  2. Understanding of victimisation, with a strong emphasis on the nature and dynamics of family violence and sexual assault.
  3. Experience using Salesforce Service Cloud or other similar case management systems.
Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in community services, social work, criminology, psychology, victim services, and/or family violence are highly desirable.
