About the Role

Mentis Assist is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Services Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day clinical and operational leadership for our Mental Health Integrated Complex Care (MHICC), Accessible Psychological Interventions (API), and Early Intervention Psychosocial Support (EIPSR) programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership to staff and contractors from varying allied health, nursing, and psychiatry backgrounds, and for the clinical component of the Intake Service.
  • Service Delivery: Ensure effective clinical service delivery and processes through the development, implementation, and monitoring of standards and policies.
  • Organisational Development: Provide leadership within the organisation and actively participate in initiatives for organisational development.
  • Staff Management: Manage staff movement over a number of work sites and monitor KPIs across programs.
  • Clinical Supervision: Provide clinical and line management supervision to all clinical program staff and sub-contractors.
  • Risk Management: Undertake initial and ongoing risk assessments of clients and develop risk management plans to provide a safe environment for the client and others.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2023.
About You
  • Mental Health Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of mental health symptoms, diagnoses, treatments, interventions, and regional mental health and general health providers.
  • Leadership Experience: Sound understanding of the causes of stigma and barriers faced by those experiencing mental illness, and experience in providing recovery-oriented, strengths-based, person-centered, family-sensitive, and trauma-informed practice.
  • Management Skills: Knowledge of National Standards for Mental Health Nursing Practice and clinical supervision practice, and management and team leadership experience, including managing budgets and liaison with funding bodies.
  • Professional Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications - Minimum: Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent such as Social Work, and current and ongoing registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
