About the Role

Mentis Assist is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Services Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day clinical and operational leadership for our Mental Health Integrated Complex Care, Accessible Psychological Interventions, and Early Intervention Psychosocial Support programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to staff and contractors from various backgrounds, including allied health, nursing, and psychiatry.
  • Develop and implement standards and policies to ensure effective clinical service delivery and processes.
  • Lead initiatives for organisational development and participate in strategic planning.
  • Manage staff movement across multiple work sites and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across programs.
  • Provide clinical and line management supervision to all clinical program staff and sub-contractors.
  • Undertake initial and ongoing risk assessments of clients and develop risk management plans to ensure a safe environment.
  • Ensure compliance with the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2023.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mental health symptoms, diagnoses, treatments, interventions, and regional mental health and general health providers.
  • Sound understanding of the causes of stigma and barriers faced by those experiencing mental illness.
  • Experience in providing recovery-oriented, strengths-based, person-centered, family-sensitive, and trauma-informed practice.
  • Knowledge of National Standards for Mental Health Nursing Practice and clinical supervision practice.
  • Management and team leadership experience, including managing budgets and liaison with funding bodies.
  • Operate with professional independence, clinical competence, and highly developed reflective practice skills.
Qualifications
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications - Minimum: Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent such as Social Work.
  • Current and ongoing registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Additional Requirements
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment screening checks.
  • Satisfactory Police Record Check.
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence and ability to undertake travel as required.
  • Current Working with Children Check, and First Aid and CPR certificates.
