About the Opportunity

The Senior Clinician is a key leadership role within The GEO Group Australia Pty Ltd, responsible for overseeing the clinical team at Fulham Correctional Centre. This position requires a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead a multidisciplinary team of clinical professionals in providing high-quality services to prisoners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a diverse team of clinical professionals, providing clinical supervision, guidance, and mentoring to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Coordinate and plan clinical service delivery across key service pathways for serious violent offenders, general offenders, and drug and alcohol offenders.
  • Maintain a small caseload of complex offenders, providing individualized interventions and support.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with prison operations to ensure effective rehabilitation and reintegration of prisoners.
Requirements
  • Full registration as a Psychologist or Social Worker with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) or Australian Association of Social Work (AASW), respectively, or eligibility to do so.
  • Two or more years of experience as a registered practitioner completing assessments, individual and group interventions, in a correctional, clinical, or other relevant setting, preferably with mandated clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a multidisciplinary team of clinical professionals, including the provision of clinical supervision, guidance, and mentoring.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise, support, and reinforce cross-agency consultation and collaboration to achieve shared goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively and efficiently prepare and vet complex clinical reports.
  • An ability to communicate a clear vision, manage performance expectations, and ensure policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Membership of relevant Professional Bodies or organizations.
