Food Service Manager Job

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Food Service Manager to lead our café, florist, and function operations at Bunurong Memorial Park. In this role, you will oversee the daily activities of our team, ensuring high standards of service and quality in alignment with our organisational values.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Advanced communication and leadership skills
  • A solid understanding of food safety procedures and RSA legislation
  • Experience leading a team within the hospitality industry
  • Intermediate computer skills specifically in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager to ensure efficient operation of all areas
  2. Liaise with the Bookings team and Funeral Directors regarding function requirements
  3. Build strong relationships with FOH and BOH staff
  4. Ensure compliance with RSA Food Handling legislation policies
  5. Lead, motivate, and develop team members
  6. Roster Café, Florist, and Function teams
  7. Make informed ordering and purchasing decisions aligned with business needs

Your Profile

An experienced hospitality professional with strong communication and leadership skills. You thrive in a dynamic environment and have a solid understanding of food safety procedures. Your intermediate computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, will be beneficial in managing day-to-day tasks.

You should possess excellent time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills, enabling you to efficiently manage multiple tasks and priorities.

In addition, having experience leading a team within the hospitality industry is essential for this role. If you have previous experience managing a café in a retail environment, it would be highly desirable.
