About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to start a rewarding career in aged care. As a Trainee Aged Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to residents in a variety of settings.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care that meets the needs and preferences of each resident.

The role involves:

  • Providing personal care and support to residents, including showering, dressing, grooming, and assisting with daily living activities;
  • Assisting with meals, snacks, and other food-related tasks;
  • Participating in social and recreational activities with residents;
  • Communicating effectively with residents, families, and staff members;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A positive attitude and strong communication skills;
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Good observational and listening skills;
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed;
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends;
  • Valid working rights in Australia;
  • Residency in Australia;
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check.
