Job Description

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting adults and children with disabilities in community settings. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct person-centred assessments and develop evidence-based positive behaviour support plans. You will also work collaboratively with families, carers, and support networks to promote the elimination of restrictive practices and empower individuals to live more empowered lives.

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualised plans to support NDIS participants.
  • Implement positive behaviour support strategies to promote independence and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to build capacity and provide education on best-practice service delivery.
  • Act as a role model for excellent service delivery and adhere to our values-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Extensive experience working within the NDIS framework and supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Qualified Behaviour Support Practitioners or professionals with extensive experience in the disability sector.
  • Degree qualifications preferred in OT, Social Work, Teaching or Speech Pathology.
  • Passion for supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships.
