Disability Support Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking Disability Support Specialists to join our multidisciplinary team. As a Disability Support Specialist, you will work with individuals with disabilities and their families to develop and implement person-centred support plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and planning with individuals with disabilities and their families
  • Developing and implementing evidence-based support plans
  • Promoting the elimination of restrictive practices through education and practical strategies
  • Working collaboratively to build capacity in individuals, families, and support networks
  • Acting as a role model for best-practice service delivery

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience working with individuals with disabilities and their families
  • Qualified professionals with expertise in disability support or a related field
  • Passion for supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours
