BaptistCare seeks an experienced professional to lead our Home Modifications and Maintenance teams during a period of growth, reform, and national integration. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a real impact for older Australians and those needing support to live independently at home.
The role involves overseeing government funded services to modify homes to improve safety, accessibility, and comfort. This includes supervising structural building works carried out by BaptistCare staff and contractors across NSW, ACT & WA, minor home repairs and maintenance services.
The teams will coordinate projects from assessment to completion, ensuring all work complies with relevant laws, standards, building codes, and funding guidelines. Collaboration with clients and allied health professionals is also essential in providing expert oversight of services that make a difference in people's lives.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant trade qualifications in building and construction.
- A current licence for general building work.
- A current NSW Supervisor Certification endorsed by Fair Trading NSW.
- Demonstrated industry experience in residential building work and/or management of home maintenance and modifications programs.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A sound understanding of compliance, risk management, and relevant sector legislation.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a complex, client-centred environment.
- Financial acumen with experience in managing budgets and reporting.
