Area managers play a pivotal role in shaping the home modification and maintenance landscape. By overseeing government-funded services, they ensure that older Australians and those requiring support to live independently at home receive tailored solutions that cater to their unique needs.

As an area manager, you will lead teams of experts who assess, design, and implement modifications that improve safety, accessibility, and comfort within clients' homes. Your team's work includes supervising structural building works carried out by staff and contractors across various regions, minor home repairs, and maintenance services.

Key to success in this role is the ability to deliver effective, safe, and person-centered services while driving sustainability through commercial acumen. You will collaborate closely with clients and allied health professionals to provide expert oversight of services that make a tangible difference in people's lives.

Requirements
  • Relevant trade qualifications in building and construction.
  • Current license for general building work.
  • NSW Supervisor Certification endorsed by Fair Trading NSW.
  • Industry experience in residential building work and/or management of home maintenance and modifications programs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of compliance, risk management, and relevant sector legislation.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in complex client-centered environments.
  • Financial acumen with experience in managing budgets and reporting.
  • Current driver's license.
