Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and organized HR support specialist to join our team in Sydney. In this permanent, full-time role, you will provide end-to-end HR support across the casual employee lifecycle.

This includes being the first point of contact for casual team member and leader queries, ensuring onboarding and offboarding processes run smoothly, and maintaining accurate employee data and documentation.

You will work closely with our remote team of HR consultants to deliver consistent, compliant, and people-focused practices across the business.

This is a great opportunity for someone with an understanding of HR coordination and compliance, looking to pursue a long-term career in human resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing offers and ensuring screening standards are met
  • Coordinating pre-boarding, onboarding, and cross-boarding processes
  • Managing offboarding, including casual inactivity processing
  • Maintaining employment records in HR systems
  • Supporting workplace compliance across Australia, Canada, and New Zealand
  • Providing policy and procedural advice to store leaders
  • Responding to People Services Help Desk queries
Required Skills and Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you'll be a confident communicator and team player with a problem-solving mindset and a strong sense of initiative.

Suitable candidates will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline
  • A sound understanding of HR practices and employment law compliance (preferably in Australia, Canada, or New Zealand)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience building effective working relationships across teams
  • Proficiency in database systems and Microsoft Office or GSuite
  • High levels of discretion and ethical judgment when handling confidential information
  • The ability to stay calm, adapt to change, and prioritize competing tasks effectively
