Job Role: Chemistry Laboratory Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Chemistry Laboratory Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and advice to chemistry-based teaching and research programs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including maintenance and auditing of chemical inventory.
  • Prepare and maintain standard documents, manage records, and track progress of work tasks.
  • Provide technical expertise in the use of general equipment and specialized chemical instrumentation.
  • Assist research staff and students in operating instruments/equipment for practical classes or experiments.
  • Clarify expectations and resolve technical problems to ensure client needs are met.
  • Generate new ideas to improve processes and practices.
  • Deliver effective and efficient outcomes against team work plans and deadlines.
  • Presentation information in a clear, structured, concise and tailored way.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Chemical Sciences or related discipline.
  • Experience in a tertiary education teaching laboratory, including handling dangerous goods and hazardous substances.
