Family Support Specialist

As a Family Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting vulnerable families and individuals. This position involves working collaboratively with clients to identify their needs and develop personalized support plans.

Key responsibilities include managing incoming client referrals, completing intake and initial needs assessments, and providing information and referrals to both internal and external programs. You will also work closely with other agencies and organizations to ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Conduct thorough assessments of client needs and develop comprehensive support plans to meet those needs.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on various family-related issues, including domestic violence, child protection, and mental health.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as social workers, counselors, and case managers, to ensure holistic service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, or a related field, and experience working with vulnerable populations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, or a related field.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
