Your Role: As a Chef at Anglicare, you will:

  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to our residents, meeting Anglicare's high standards.
  • Direct and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal production and distribution.
  • Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with Anglicare and industry regulations.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and kitchen equipment.
  • Monitor food quality and suggest improvements to enhance the dining experience.
  • Act as a mentor to your team, providing on-the-job training and fostering a cooperative work environment.
  • Uphold Anglicare's Christian values, leading by example in demonstrating integrity, compassion, and excellence.

Requirements:

  • You hold a Commercial Cookery Certificate or equivalent.
  • You have a minimum of 4 years of food industry experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • You have excellent English communication skills and can lead and train a team effectively.
  • You are passionate about creating high-quality meals that meet dietary and cultural needs.
  • You value safety and cleanliness, and you are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.
