We are a growing company with a vision to make a difference, and we are seeking Field Ecologists at all levels who are ready to enhance their ecological consulting career working within our ACT ecology team. The ideal candidate will have finished their studies and acquired some experience in conducting ecological field work, with a strong desire to travel and develop their technical skills in recognising vegetation and flora and surveying for specific species.
This role is field-based, targeting surveys in various locations throughout the ACT and NSW, with opportunities to work in a range of environments. Permanent roles may be available following this period, pending business needs.
About YouWe are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Field Ecologists who meet the following criteria:
- A degree or postgraduate qualification (or in progress) in environmental science, botany, zoology, or a related field
- A strong desire to work flexible hours and travel for ecological fieldwork, including possible trips of extended duration in rural or remote regions
- Experience in undertaking ecological surveys and a demonstrated passion for flora and/or fauna
- Ability to work in a professional team as well as autonomously, with effective communication skills
- Experience in GIS and electronic data capture (preferred)
- Appreciation of the importance of WHS matters
