Job OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Ecologist or Senior Ecologist to join our team in Canberra, ACT. As a key member of our national ecology team, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across multiple industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Lead ecological initiatives and provide technical expertise to guide projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and implement the growth strategy for the ecology workstream in ACT.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver sustainable solutions and mitigation strategies.
- Conduct ecological surveys, impact assessments, and provide expert advice to clients.
- A minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Principal Ecologist and 5+ years as a Senior Ecologist.
- Degree qualified in ecology, environmental science, zoology, botany, or a related discipline.
- BAM accredited assessor or with extensive experience in BAM and/or other biometric data capture and analysis.
- Proven track record of leading ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and impact analyses.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and environmental policies.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience in preparing and reviewing reports.
