Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Operations Leader to oversee the maintenance operations at our manufacturing facility in Melbourne.

This role involves leading a high-performing team to deliver excellence in:

  • Safety: ensuring a safe working environment for all employees
  • Maintenance: overseeing all preventative and reactive maintenance practices across the facility
  • Reliability: driving plant reliability through effective maintenance systems and continuous improvement
  • Continuous Improvement: leading staff recruitment, development, and succession planning, as well as managing capital projects and equipment installations
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leveraging their leadership skills to motivate and direct a team of maintenance professionals
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to improve maintenance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and optimize operational performance
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven leadership experience in maintenance management within manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of HSE principles and practices
  • Experience managing budgets and industrial relations matters
  • Tertiary or trade qualifications in engineering or a related field
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
