Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and Manage Business Improvement Projects: You will lead and manage business improvement projects focused on enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness within the rail sector or similar environments.
  2. Apply Lean Six Sigma Methodologies: You will utilise Lean Six Sigma methodologies to analyse processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement sustainable solutions.
  3. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute improvement strategies, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  4. Conduct Data Analysis and Process Mapping: You will conduct data analysis and process mapping to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for enhancement.
  5. Develop and Deliver Training Programs: You will develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on process improvement techniques and best practices.
  6. Monitor and Report on Project Progress: You will monitor and report on project progress, including metrics and performance indicators, to ensure successful implementation and achievement of goals.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven Experience in Business Improvement: You will have proven experience in business improvement initiatives within rail or similar operational environments.
  2. Lean Six Sigma Certification: You will have Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent process improvement qualifications.
  3. Success in Managing Complex Projects: You will have demonstrated success in managing and implementing complex improvement projects.
  4. Strong Analytical Skills: You will have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  5. Excellent Communication Skills: You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  6. Proficiency in Process Mapping Tools: You will have proficiency in process mapping tools and methodologies.
  7. Proactive and Solution-Oriented Approach: You will have a proactive and solution-oriented approach with a commitment to driving results and achieving excellence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with Other Business Improvement Methodologies: Experience with other business improvement methodologies (e.g., Agile, Kaizen) is a plus.
  2. Formal Process Improvement Qualifications: Formal process improvement qualifications including but not limited to Lean Six Sigma are a plus.
