About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled specialist to join our team and contribute to the development of an artificial intelligence-based foundation model tool-box.

The successful applicant will work closely with leading experts in the field to develop a general purpose tool-box for analyzing climate risks to agriculture across the Asia-Pacific region. The tool-box will utilize advanced programming languages and incorporate state-of-the-art AI models and architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute strongly to the technical development of the artificial intelligence-based foundation model tool-box.
  • Engage in collaborative research with the existing team and lead key components at an internationally competitive level.
  • Lead and contribute to significant international publications.
  • Establish a personal research portfolio and support PhD students working on the project under the mentorship of senior colleagues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • PhD in a related discipline (Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science) or equivalent.
  • Advanced programming skills and experience in developing and fine-tuning foundation models for modeling tasks.
  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art AI models and architectures and a track record of collaborative coding and code sharing.
  • Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
