Climate Scientist

We are seeking a skilled climate research scientist to develop and lead a world-class research portfolio in Climate & Fluid Physics.
- The successful candidate will contribute to research-led teaching and research training activities in Climate & Fluid Physics, and undertake novel research on the fluid dynamics of the climate system, including turbulence and ocean/atmosphere circulation.
- Collaboration across groups and contribution to ongoing projects such as climate/ocean modelling and thermodynamic analyses are also essential for this role.
About This Role:This is an initial seven-year tenure-track position with the option of renewal or conversion at the end of the appointment. The Australian National University offers attractive benefits and support for work-life balance, including four weeks paid vacation per year, relocation assistance, and a 17% employer contribution to superannuation.
Key Qualifications:
- A strong background in climate science, mathematics, physics or related field.
