Climate Partnership Specialist

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land, sea and waters across Australia, their continuing connection to culture, and pay respects to Elders past and present.

The National Environment Science Program (NESP) Climate Systems Hub is a collaboration led by Csiro, with the Bureau of Meteorology, 5 universities, and state governments. This research provides evidence for environmental and climate programs, helping decision makers build resilience and support positive outcomes.

We seek an experienced specialist to develop strong partnerships between Indigenous Australians and the Climate Systems Hub of NESP. You will work closely with the Hub Leader and program management to ensure Indigenous engagement activities align with the Hub's strategy.

  • Leading implementation of the Climate Systems Hub Indigenous Partnerships Strategy
  • Advising on creating a culturally safe working environment
  • Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred locations: Aspendale, Hobart, or Canberra. Other locations negotiable.

This is a specified term of 3 years until June 2027. The role requires a demonstrated track record of engaging with Indigenous communities and co-operatively working with Traditional Owners.

To be considered, you must have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, and/or equivalent experience in consulting or project management.
