**Job Overview**

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our Business Controls team as Chief Information Officer. As a key member of our organization, you will have the opportunity to build something special and make a lasting impact on our future.

This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment where your skills and experience will be highly valued. You will play a crucial part in strengthening front-line accountability for risk management and providing thought leadership, advice, and challenge in the management of risks, obligations, and controls.

Your key responsibilities will include formulating and implementing compliance procedures, ensuring high-level understanding and practical experience of Operational Risk, and demonstrating expertise with industry and governance standards. Additionally, you will need to assess the level of risk to the business and inform the development and execution of action plans to mitigate said risk.

As a strategic thinker, you will deliver solutions to risk and compliance issues, including developing and delivering Risk and compliance strategies aimed at enhancing 1LOD capability and uplift maturity.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

  • Degree-level qualification in Technology, Finance, Business, Commerce, or Law
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in a similar risk and/or compliance role, preferably in the 1LOD and Banking and Financial Services Industry
  • Experience in managing and influencing multi-faceted stakeholders (internal and external) to balance competing priorities, different needs, and non-aligned expectations
  • Knowledge of relevant Financial Services regulatory and compliance considerations
