Water and Wastewater Technician Role

About the Job:

This role provides critical support to our Water and Wastewater operations, ensuring the efficient management of water resources and treatment processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, conducting regular inspections, and performing maintenance tasks as required.

Detailed knowledge of water and wastewater systems is essential, along with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, who can work effectively in a team environment and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of Water and Wastewater treatment plants and pump stations
  • Conducting regular inspections and monitoring water quality
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, including repair and replacement of equipment
  • Recording and maintaining accurate records of activities and outcomes
  • Providing exceptional customer service and communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
Required Skills and Qualifications:

A strong background in water and wastewater operations is essential, along with relevant qualifications and certifications.

Additionally, we require applicants to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Construction Induction White Card
  • Willingness to complete certification in Water & Wastewater Treatment (Part 1 and Part 2) or equivalent
  • NSW Department of Health Fluoride Operators Certificate
  • High Pressure Water Jetting certification or willingness to complete certification
  • Appropriate relevant experience in a Water & Wastewater operations and maintenance
