Job Title: IT Cost Expert

Description:

We are seeking an experienced IT Cost Expert to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in financial governance across a large technology environment, supporting services to thousands of schools and teachers.

About the Role:

The IT Cost Expert will be responsible for developing cost models and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making at a strategic level. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify financial trends, risks, and improvement opportunities, and provide proactive problem-solving in complex financial environments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop cost models and provide analytical insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Identify financial trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial audiences and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality outputs in a dynamic environment

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, cost management, or budget planning
  • Background in IT services, public sector, or shared services (preferred)
  • Strong financial modelling and Excel skills; experience with Oracle, SAP, or PowerBI is advantageous, as well as a good understanding of costing methodologies
