Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee pastry kitchen operations while ensuring adherence to all Food & Beverage policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Assess weekly production requirements and communicate daily needs to kitchen staff.
  • Support the Head and Sous Chef in all kitchen operations and food preparation.
  • Prepare and cook pastry items, whether regularly or for special occasions.
  • Innovate and create new applications, ideas, and systems, including artistic contributions.
  • Determine food presentation methods and design decorative food displays.
  • Maintain standards for purchasing, receiving, and food storage.
  • Train staff in safety protocols.

Qualifications for this Role:

  • Completion of a Trade Industry Qualification or Commercial Cookery Qualification.
  • A strong passion for the culinary industry.
  • Relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Legal working rights in Australia.
  • A desire to advance your career.
  • Self-motivated and energized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess innovative solutions and a proactive attitude.
  • Open-minded with a creative approach to challenges.
