Senior Risk Governance Analyst

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with business partners and stakeholders in risk management for a global organization. As a Senior Risk Governance Analyst, you will be responsible for navigating various levels within departments to understand and design business processes and internal controls to ensure overall compliance and appropriate risk management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong big picture focus, excellent knowledge of auditing, and previous experience in risk and control functions or internal/external audit. They will also possess excellent communication skills, fluency in English, and proficiency in MS Office and Visio.

The role involves supporting the Risk & Controls team in strengthening internal controls certification process, facilitating quarterly reporting procedures, and preparing and submitting quarterly Internal Controls memos. Additionally, they will oversee SOC control assessment process, conduct process walkthroughs, develop risk and control matrices, and perform design and operational testing of internal controls.

In this position, you will identify control gaps, standardize and improve process and controls documentation, and support the facilitation of risk programs by coordinating with subject matter experts. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, productively, and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, minimum 4-6 years of progressive work experience, and proven success in improving risk management/SOX, preferably in a fast-moving eCommerce environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support the Risk & Controls (R&C) team in strengthening the internal controls certification process and perform quarterly reporting procedures to support certifications. Facilitate the preparation and submission of quarterly Internal Controls memos, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in alignment with requirements. Oversee the SOC control assessment process, including report collection, review coordination, and resolution of issues with relevant stakeholders.

Fundamentally, this role requires effective risk-based thinking, analytical skills, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and strong communication and relationship-building skills. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams, so the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively is essential.
