About the Opportunity

This senior leadership role is focused on driving a culture of continuous improvement, simplification, and consistency across first line risk, control testing and remediation teams in Australia Pacific.

As the Senior Risk Governance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in elevating key themes and recommendations, and implementing agreed initiatives whilst fostering a culture of simplification and consistency across your teams.

You will be responsible for connecting teams across various operational, customer and enablement functions to ensure holistic management of risk exposure.

The successful candidate will have exceptional ability to align teams on strategy and direction, with strong negotiation and influencing skills particularly with senior stakeholders.

A key focus area will be guiding QBE's strategic plan, driving elevation of key themes and recommendations, and implementing agreed initiatives whilst fostering a culture of simplification and consistency.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the governance model, strategic roadmap and alignment of operational risk management practices
  • Lead the AUSPAC Control Testing strategic and tactical activities
  • Oversight of the AUSPAC Customer Remediation function/s
  • Management information and analysis of key operational risk metrics

About You

You will be an influential people leader who has a history of delivering in complex environments. Additionally, you will demonstrate an ability to go beyond data analysis by translating complex data into an engaging narrative that guides decision making.

You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
