We seek dedicated individuals to provide high-quality support to people with disabilities in their own homes. As an In-Home Care Support Worker, you will empower our clients to live independently and achieve their goals.

  • Personalised Support: Deliver tailored services to meet the unique needs of each client, including household tasks, personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Caregiver Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of health and wellbeing principles, cultural plans, transition plans, and behaviour support plans.
  • Community Connection: Assist clients in participating in community activities and services that cater to their interests and abilities.
  • Effective Communication: Provide regular updates to the Support Manager on matters related to clients, families, external supports, colleagues, and community access activities.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to our Code of Conduct, policies, and Quality Management System procedures to ensure exceptional care and support.
  • Safety and Wellbeing: Prioritise your own safety and wellbeing, as well as that of clients and others in the work environment.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Qualifications: Certificate III or IV in individual supports (aged care, disability, or home and community services).
  • Driving Experience: Hold a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
  • Relevant Experience: Proven experience working within the in-home care environment.
  • Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear case notes.
  • WHS Knowledge: Understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Manual Handling: Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Community Services: Qualification in community services, disability, mental health, or related field.
  • Nursing Experience: Qualification in nursing, assistant nursing, or registered nurse.
  • Additional Certifications: WWC clearance, experience working with CALD clients, complex care, dementia care, mental health first aid, trauma-informed care, and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
