OverviewDisability Support Worker role at Support Worker Co. is a casual position.
Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best-fit Disability Support Workers to Disability Service providers across Australia.
We are seeking Casual Support Workers to support adult NDIS participants in SILs and respite services across Taigum, Nundah, Stafford Heights, Mitchelton, Aspley, Wilston and surrounding suburbs in North Brisbane.
Female Support Workers are preferred for this role due to female clients' requests with personal hygiene needs.ResponsibilitiesSupport people in SIL arrangements and respite services.Work a 24-hour care model with a combination of shifts – morning (from 6am), afternoon (from 2pm) and sleep-over shifts.Assist participants with personal activities including hygiene support, medication assistance, manual handling, domestic assistance and meals.Follow specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP) and assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities.Support participants in both group settings and 1-on-1 arrangements.Use a company vehicle and/or your own vehicle to transport participants to community-based outings.What you needCompleted or currently studying a Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant)12 months paid experience supporting people in SILs with physical and intellectual disabilitiesAustralian Driver's LicenceFirst Aid CertificateCPRNDIS Worker Screening CheckWorking with Children Check (Blue Card) for paid employmentNational Police Check (obtained within the last 6 months or willing to apply)NDIS Worker Orientation ModuleReliable smartphone with dataWhat we can offer youCompetitive pay rates, terms and conditions.Paid training before you start and ongoing training and development.Weekday, weekend shift loadings and overtime penalties per the industry award paid.Casual position with consistent hours and routine rosters; backfill shifts may be required.Company tablet to complete notes, access client care plans and sign in and out of shifts.Easy-to-use rostering app to view and accept shifts.Refer & Earn Incentive - $150 for each successful referral (conditions apply).
