About the Role

The Student Progressions Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Student Progressions in the processing, maintenance, and accuracy of student records. This position will be involved in the student journey from enrolment to graduation, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enrolment and Records Management: Process enrolments, withdrawals, and other student-related requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Student Support: Assess and respond to enquiries from faculty, staff members, students, and other stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service.
  • System Configuration: Develop and configure the student management system (Quercus) by setting up fees, courses, student records, and grades.
  • Graduation Management: Assist with the management of graduation, including assessing completions, printing, and organization.
  • Grade Management: Process grades and assist in grade moderation and student intervention implementation.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside the wider team (Student Onboarding, Student Support, and Compliance) as needed to ensure a cohesive and effective student experience.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes that will enhance the student experience, ensuring alignment with the college's vision and mission.
Requirements
  • Education: The completion of a VET or HE degree is desired.
  • Experience: Experience in an administrative or customer-service role is essential, with experience within a tertiary institution being highly desirable.
  • Skills: An understanding of the VET and HE sector, customer service focus, communication skills, attention to detail, commerciality, teamwork, and time management/organisation are all essential.
