About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our team in Tasmania, supporting our mining operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Budgeting and forecasting for our mining operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with established frameworks.
  • Leading a Business Analyst, guiding them in budget preparation and cost performance analysis, as well as preparing monthly reports including cost and analysis reports, capital expenditure, cashflow forecasts, and ancillary reports at the completion of the month end process.
  • Guideline management in budget preparation and cost performance analysis, developing and mentoring team members, assisting with Management Information System (MIS) reporting, and enhancing cost reporting using PowerBI.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor, offering financial insights and strategic initiatives to drive performance improvements, frequent communication with mine operations teams regarding budgeting and forecasting.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Economics, or Finance/Accounting.
  • CPA/CA or working towards.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting/finance roles, including 3 years in finance-related positions within the mining industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, advanced Microsoft Excel, and proficiency with PowerBI.
