Role Overview
KPMGau is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager to join our Finance Hub team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting numerous clients, providing management accounting services, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial outcomes.

About the Role
As a Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
  1. Managing the Finance Hub team to deliver KPMGau's outsourced bookkeeping, management accounting, and finance functions.
  2. Providing guidance and support to team members, including teaching them how to undertake tasks, reviewing their work, and stepping in to team member roles as needed.
  3. Assisting the management team in mentoring less experienced team members and encouraging their continued professional development.
  4. End-to-end AP, including processing invoices, uploading vendor payments to banking files, remittance advices, and responding to vendor queries.
  5. Preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS) & Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
  6. Payroll processing, including expense reimbursement management.
  7. Preparing and reviewing complex payroll, including overtime, terminations, and redundancies.
  8. Preparing and lodging periodic superannuation and payroll tax reporting and payments.
  9. Preparing and reviewing superannuation guarantee charge statements.
  10. Periodic bank reconciliations.
  11. Credit card reconciliations.
  12. Assisting in preparing financial information/reports for accountants on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  13. Assisting clients transition to automated cloud software systems.
  14. Preparing monthly financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss, and cashflow statements.
  15. Supporting the client's finance function team.
  16. Managing the general ledger, including overseeing the monthly balance sheet, banking, and inter-company reconciliations.
  17. Completing the monthly accruals, journals, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules.
  18. Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management.
  19. Detailed knowledge of GST and payroll tax.

  10. Experience in the provision of management accounting services and general awareness of financial accounting requirements, including income tax and compliance obligations.
  11. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  12. MS Outlook and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) skills.
  13. Experience with technologies such as Xero, MYOB, Fathom, Castaway, Spotlight, Approvalmax, Ezzybills, HubDoc would be preferable but not essential.

Qualifications
A certificate qualification from a recognised TAFE or business college would be great, but we also recognise experience. If you have had 4+ years' experience working as a bookkeeper, we would love to hear from you. Additionally, if you are about to commence or are mid-way through either the CPA or CA program, we can also support you achieve the qualifications.
