Job Overview:

The NSW Department of Education's maintenance and upkeep team is responsible for ensuring the departmental schools are well-maintained and safe environments for students. This role plays a vital part in achieving this goal by performing routine tasks to maintain and repair the schools' properties.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform a range of tasks relating to the routine maintenance and upkeep of a Departmental School/grounds
  • Assist with the set up and removal of furniture and equipment for school activities
  • Identify and report maintenance and safety issues
  • Receive, store and distribute supplies and monitor equipment and report faults

Key Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have good planning and prioritizing skills and good communication skills to work effectively with others. You will also need to be able to identify and manage potential hazards requiring maintenance.
