Job Description

This role involves undertaking maintenance and repair work to ensure the school environment is safe for students, staff, and visitors.

  • Perform routine maintenance of school buildings, including replacement of locks, windows, light bulbs, patching holes, and woodwork repairs.
  • Estimate costs and document repairs undertaken.
  • Handle, store, and distribute goods/materials as required.
  • Move equipment/furniture as needed.
  • Upkeep school grounds through mowing, pruning, weeding, planting, and disposing of litter.
  • Assist with school improvements, such as fencing, paving, and gardening projects.
  • Drive school vehicles for registration inspections, repairs, and servicing as required.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in general maintenance, knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and trade maintenance, machinery/equipment operation, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication skills, and a trade background is advantageous.
