About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Coordinator Open Space Assets to join our Technical Services department at Randwick City Council.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team in the investigation and development of policies, plans, guides, and designs for open spaces, including the administration of Randwick Cemetery and activities on community land.

You will provide specialist knowledge to advise on a wide range of technical and operational challenges relating to open space planning and management, and manage consultants to provide specialist services in accordance with agreements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing policies, plans, and guidelines to inform and control development and activities on community land
  • Ensuring that all landscape designs and documentation in Council's Capital Works program are prepared and ready for construction within the required timeframes, including community consultation
  • Managing the day-to-day operations and functions of the Open Space Assets team within allocated and budgetary constraints

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in landscape architecture, open space management, and team leadership. If you have a passion for delivering high-quality projects and working in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply.
