Defence Environmental Practitioner

This is an exciting opportunity to work in Australia's Defence environment and support national security requirements.
- Develop and implement environmental management systems to minimize the impact of Defence operations on the environment. This will involve developing strategies for pollution prevention, waste management, and environmental conservation.
- Conduct baseline assessments and risk evaluations to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement. This may include evaluating the environmental impact of Defence operations and identifying opportunities for sustainable practices.
- Advise on best practices for promoting a culture of environmental stewardship among Defence teams. This includes providing training and guidance to enhance environmental awareness.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance, including air and water quality, emissions, and waste disposal practices. Stay up to date with environmental regulations and ensure compliance with laws.
- Collaborate with teams to establish and maintain policies and procedures that promote environmental sustainability. This will help to minimize the impact of Defence operations on the environment.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental sustainability principles and practices. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with Defence teams to achieve environmental goals.
