MQ Administrator Role Overview

This position entails managing and maintaining the lifecycle of MQ solutions, ensuring they meet the latest security requirements and adhere to ITIL practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • MQ Administration: Install, configure, and maintain IBM WebSphere MQ, including creating and configuring MQ objects.
  • IIB Expertise: Provide in-depth knowledge of IBM IIB administration, focusing on implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Clustered MQ Setups: Implement and manage clustered MQ setups, incorporating security features and diagnosing connectivity issues.
  • MQ Security: Ensure MQ solutions align with the latest security standards and implement authentication/authorization protocols.
  • Problem Determination: Troubleshoot complex issues using MQ Error Files, FDC files, syslog, traces, and monitoring tools.
  • Technical Change Management: Apply Agile methodology and Scrum framework to manage technical changes in MQ environments.
