Technical Server Developer Role

The key responsibilities of the Technical Server Developer include developing efficient multiplayer gaming server solutions using c#/DotNet, focusing on versions c# 10+ and DotNet Standard 2, as well as DotNet 6+

  • Server Development: Develop efficient multiplayer gaming server solutions utilizing c#/DotNet expertise
  • Unity Integration: Collaborate with Unity experts to debug and enhance Unity integration with the server
  • Deployment and Maintenance: Work with hosting/infrastructure experts to develop and maintain solutions for deploying and updating the servers, primarily utilizing AWS cloud deployment
  • API and Reporting Solutions: Cooperate with PHP experts to develop API and reporting solutions that support the multiplayer servers

Moreover, the ideal candidate should possess knowledge of multiplayer concepts, including identifying and resolving concurrency, locking, queues, and race conditions. They must be skilled in implementing necessary server technologies to improve efficiency, such as caching, queuing, and automation.


To ensure code quality standards are met, the successful candidate will assist in monitoring and debugging servers and solutions, and design solutions that adhere to applicable code quality standards.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • C#/.NET Expertise: A minimum of 2 years of experience working with c#/DotNet in a relevant multiplayer project
  • Supporting Technologies: Understanding of socket connections (TCP and UDP), data compression, encryption, and other supporting technologies
  • Gaming Environment Experience: Experience working in a gaming environment, preferably having developed solutions in Unity
  • Cloud Hosting and Deployment: Familiarity with cloud hosting and deployment, preferably AWS
  • Source Control and JIRA: Knowledge of source control (preferably GIT) and JIRA
  • Database and Caching: Familiarity with mySQL, memcached, and redis (desirable)

Non-Technical Skills
  • Problem-Solving Attitude: Strong work ethics and a problem-solving attitude
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills
  • Team Collaboration: Confidence in communicating ideas, solutions, and issues in a fast-paced team
  • Adaptability: Open-minded towards researching, using, and implementing new technologies
