Job Title: Game Server Software Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled software engineer to join our development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient multiplayer gaming server solutions using C# and .NET.

You will work closely with Unity experts to debug and enhance Unity integration with the server, as well as collaborate with hosting/infrastructure experts to develop and maintain solutions for deploying and updating the server on AWS cloud deployment.

In addition, you will cooperate with PHP experts in developing API and reporting solutions to support the multiplayer servers, and possess knowledge of multiplayer concepts such as concurrency, locking, queues, and race conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement efficient multiplayer gaming server solutions using C# and .NET
  • Work closely with Unity experts to debug and enhance Unity integration with the server
  • Collaborate with hosting/infrastructure experts to develop and maintain solutions for deploying and updating the server on AWS cloud deployment
  • Develop API and reporting solutions to support the multiplayer servers
  • Possess knowledge of multiplayer concepts such as concurrency, locking, queues, and race conditions

Requirements:

  • Over 2 years of experience working with C# and .NET in a relevant multiplayer project
  • Strong understanding of supporting technologies such as socket connections, data compression, encryption, and cloud hosting and deployment
  • Experience working in a gaming environment (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Unity (preferred)
  • Cloud hosting and deployment (preferred)
  • Source control (preferably GIT), JIRA, mySQL, memcached, and redis (preferred)
