Server Developer

This is a key role that involves designing and implementing server solutions to support online gaming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop efficient multiplayer gaming server solutions in C#/.NET.
  • In conjunction with Unity experts, debug and enhance Unity integration with the server.
  • In conjunction with hosting/infrastructure experts, develop and maintain solutions to deploy and update the solutions.
  • Cooperate with PHP experts in developing API and reporting solutions to support the multiplayer servers.
  • Possess knowledge of multiplayer concepts and resolve concurrency, locking, queues and race conditions.
  • Use necessary server technologies to improve efficiency (e.g. caching, queuing, automation).
  • Assist in monitoring and debugging servers and solutions.
Requirements
  • Have over 2 years working with C#/.NET in a relevant multiplayer project.
  • Understand supporting technologies; socket connections (TCP and UDP), data compression, encryption, etc.
  • Experience working in a gaming environment. Preferable: have developed solutions in Unity.
  • Experience with cloud hosting and deployment, preferably AWS.
  • Knowledge of source control (preferable GIT), JIRA
  • Preferable: Knowledge of MySQL, Memcached and Redis.
