Job Title: Assistant Director Of Nursing

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive nursing professional to fill the position of Casual Assistant Director of Nursing in Residential Aged Care and Acute.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in clinical leadership, with experience in shift coordination, delegation, and supervision of others. They will also possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to problem solve and confront issues within appropriate timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff in Residential Aged Care and Acute settings
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and care quality
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including incident reports and employee performance evaluations
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Competent with Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) Standards
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant clinical experience as a Registered Nurse as applicable to clinical area
  • Demonstrated experience in nursing management
  • Proven excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be a leader and support others within a team environment
  • Ability to problem solve and confront issues within appropriate timeframes
  • Advanced Life Support and Triage
  • Experience in shift coordination, delegation and supervision of others
  • Good communication skills and ability to lead a team
