Maintenance Planner

Affco New Zealand is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Planner to join their engineering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities across all departments, ensuring that production requirements are met.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, ability to build an engaged team and effectively delegate tasks, as well as extensive prior maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Planning and Coordination: Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring that all necessary parts and materials are available.
- Contractor Management: Manage contractors, ensuring that all liability agreements and insurance details are up to date.
- Inventory Management: Manage electrical and mechanical inventory, ensuring that stock levels are maintained.
- Ordering and Procurement: Order all parts and materials required for maintenance activities.
- Compliance and Reporting: Oversee and manage compliance register and installation of MEX completed for the Trades Department.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, ability to build an engaged team and effectively delegate tasks.
- Maintenance Experience: Extensive prior maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
- Technical Skills: A mechanical trade qualification (electrical knowledge would be an advantage) and comfortable working with modern CMMS systems.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
- Supportive Team: A supportive, well-established preventative maintenance team.
- Autonomy: The ability to make the role their own and autonomously manage day to day operations.
