About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Officer to join our team at Catholic Education Diocese Of Rockhampton. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our HR functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage recruitment campaigns by writing job advertisements, supporting selection processes, processing necessary clearances for employment, and measuring the effectiveness of recruitment practices.
  • Manage and organize mandatory training, compliance documentation, and monthly audits.
  • Educate People Leaders and employees on self-service data through effective internal communications.
  • Assist with general HR enquiries while reducing the volume of queries through effective communication and support documentation.
  • Support communications with key stakeholders to roll out and report on annual calendar events, including flu vaccinations and annual reviews.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Engage in positive teamwork with other team members and the wider corporate team to promote consistency of best practice across the organization.
  • Take part in professional development and supervision to maintain and update knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • High level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including the ability to mail merge.
  • A Bachelor degree (AQF level 7) in Human Resources, or significant progress in working towards.
  • Experience in recruitment and selection processes.
  • Demonstrated experience working in HR administration.
