Facilities Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities department, you will play a critical role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within our conference facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to ensure all areas are well-maintained.
  • Dispose of waste and ensure that trash bins are emptied and sanitized regularly.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, including replenishing supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
  • Ensure common areas, meeting rooms, and other designated spaces are kept tidy and presentable at all times.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down of chairs, tables, and other equipment for events or meetings when necessary.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards while using cleaning chemicals and operating cleaning equipment.
Requirements:
  • Detailed knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and handling.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Good communication skills to interact with other staff members and report any issues.
  • Physical stamina and strength for performing cleaning tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in commercial or institutional cleaning settings.
  • Familiarity with operating cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and pressure washers.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations related to cleaning activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a cleaning role.
  • Experience working in a team environment while also being self-motivated in completing individual responsibilities.
