Job Title:

Environmental Officer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Officer to provide timely and efficient environment services. As an Environmental Officer, you will be responsible for providing environmental advice, reports, and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide environmental advice, reports, and services to industry standards
  • Conduct ecological assessments, environmental planning, and erosion and sediment control
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience in infrastructure project delivery, environmental or cultural heritage management
  • Demonstrated experience in ecological assessments, environmental planning, and erosion and sediment control
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent qualification accepted by the relevant authority
Benefits:
  • Nominally up to 40 hours per week
  • Cairns based, with some work required in regional or remote locations
  • Preference given to candidates already living in the region or willing to relocate
