About the Opportunity

As a Waste Administration & Finance Officer in the City of Perth, you will be part of a team that enables and delivers the aspirations of the community.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Providing project, financial management and administrative support to the Waste and Cleaning team;
  • Ensuring the provision of high-quality customer service to all internal and external customers;
  • Actively obtaining relevant information, creatively identifying solutions to problems, resiliently responding to correspondence received via shared inboxes, and managing correspondence registers for the team;
  • Autonomously capturing robust data for the updating and management of databases and associated administrative tasks;
  • Maintaining nominated operating budgets related to the City's waste and cleaning services;
  • Fostering, advocating and implementing the City's Customer Service Charter.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in researching, analysing, summarising and actioning general administrative and financial matters;
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative and problem solve;
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to produce moderately complex correspondence, reports, publications, and presentations;
  • Autonomous ability to effectively organise as well as adapt own time and workload to meet deadlines despite conflicting priorities.
Requirements

To be eligible to work for us, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A right to work in Australia (e.g. a birth certificate, current passport or current visa);
  • A current 'C' class Australian drivers licence;
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months).
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package which includes:

$77,636 - $81,431 per annum, plus superannuation.
