Job Opportunity: Family Support Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team in Mount Isa. As a Family Support Specialist, you will provide in-home therapeutic support to vulnerable families, using evidence-based, trauma-informed strategies to improve family wellbeing and outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, responsive, and culturally appropriate case management to support family relationships and prevent breakdown.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve overall family wellbeing, including in-home support and community engagement.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic support to families.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Social Services, or a related field.
- Membership or eligibility to register with a relevant governing body (e.g., AASW, AHPRA, ACA).
- Proven experience working with children, young people, adults, and families, with a focus on case management and child protection.
What We Offer:
- SCHADS Level 4: $85,000 - $91,500 + Super + NGO Benefits.
- Salary Sacrifice up to $15,900.
