Family Support Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Support Specialist to join our Intensive Bail Initiative team in Mount Isa.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Family Support Specialist, you will provide holistic and trauma-informed case management to support the families of high-risk young people on bail. Your responsibilities will include:
Identifying strengths and establishing goals for the young people and their families, and reviewing progress towards these goals.
Providing wrap-around support to the families of adolescents who are on bail, including referrals to other specialist services as needed.
Promoting skills that increase health, safety, and development for young people and their families.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Demonstrated experience in case management and knowledge of relevant legislation.
Demonstrated experience in working with the families of young people who have been in contact with the justice system.
Demonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and families.
Strong report writing, analytical, and evaluation skills, including data collation and analysis.
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or significant experience working in a similar service.
