We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Family Support Specialist, working in conjunction with the Queensland Police Service as part of our Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Support Service. In this varied and challenging role, you will help give families the tools they need to navigate this tough time and thrive in the future.

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position, working within a case management framework in an outreach role, providing support to individuals who are experiencing domestic, family or sexual violence. Based in Mount Isa, you will work closely with the Queensland Police Service to provide an after-hours response.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing holistic case management, delivering support to vulnerable and disadvantaged clients and supporting relationships
  • Ensuring the voices of children and young people are heard
  • Identifying strengths, establishing goals for the program and reviewing client progress towards these goals
  • Promoting skills which increase health, safety and development
